Filming has officially begun for ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’

According to a Twitter post by director Matt Reeves who also directed the predecessor ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’, the cameras have begun rolling for the reboot’s third installment. Take a peek at his Twitter post update:

The threequel titled ‘War of the Planet of the Apes’ seems to bring things into full circle, and the photo Matt Reeves serves as evidence. In case you don’t know, the photo resembles the 1968 classic’s iconic ending that has blown the minds of many for being so unexpected. Well, kinda. Whether the scene will appear in the beginning or the end is still unknown for now. But I’m speculating that this is just going to be a red herring since Matt Reeves likes to keep things exciting. But still, let’s wait until the film gets released and see things for ourselves.

For the third film, it looks like we’ll get to see the world overrun by the apes, FINALLY. Matt Reeves heightened it all up in Dawn and but it just seems that War would be even more bigger considering that it might be the final chapter. War will star Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson and Steve Zahn. More casting details will be revealed eventually.

War for the Planet of the Apes is eyeing a July 2017 release.
