The wait is over and the force has awakened already, my Jedis.
After teasing us with teasers for the trailer and releasing a cool new poster, the long-awaited theatrical trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ that got moviegeeks sleepless has finally surfaced. Evidently, that is a “ship” that you would want to get on aside from the Millennium Falcon. Okay, now that was (admittedly) a bad pun. You know what’s not bad though, in any way possible? THE SUPER-MEGA-AWESOME TRAILER THAT GOT ME SPEECHLESS. SEE IT HERE:
HOLY SPACEBALLS! Now, that is how you do a truly epic trailer! That surely made a lot of fanboys’ jaws drop to the floor and made their eyes watery in excitement. That trailer is just so gorgeous from beginning to end. I’ve said this before but I’ll repeat it anyway; I am going to admit that the only Star Wars films I’ve seen are Episodes I (on DVD) and Episode III (in theaters) however, the trailer managed to get me stoked even I haven’t even seen the original trilogy. Maybe that’s just how powerful the trailer is. I’m sure that this is one that will be talked about for days and even weeks. You know why? Because it used the force.
Even if the trailer showed a lot, it still managed to not tell much about the film’s main plot. Henceforth, it still keeps us begging for so much more until the film finally makes its’ way in theaters. If anything though, the newest trailer focuses on our three main heroes, the classic characters you’ve known to love, and Kylo Ren. One thing I also noticed is that Mark Hamill’s Luke still hasn’t been shown. I’m not sure why, but maybe it’ll turn out to be a very big surprise and he will be very vital to the plot.
I just can’t take it anymore! Aaaaaaaahhhh! This’ll be a once-in-a-lifetime theater experience for sure. That scene will definitely look great in IMAX 3D.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in Philippine cinemas on December 17, 2015 in IMAX 3D. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Philippines.
